Rome Seminar Series IV: Atheism and Christianity
IRCI Research Fellow David Newheiser led a seminar at ACU’s Rome Campus in September 2016 with participants from ACU, KU Leuven, Yale, Durham University, and Nottingham University. The seminar was the first event relating to the ongoing research project, “Atheism and Christianity: Moving Past Polemic”. Participants met to discuss pre-circulated readings ranging from David Hume to Albert Camus. Over the course of three days, the discussion aimed to clarify key questions concerning the variety of modern atheism and its relation to religious practice and belief.
